The Peter Donegan Band also includes Peter's brother, David Donegan, on percussion, highly rated North East husband and wife Michael Bailey (bass, backing vocals) and Rachael Rhoades (violin, accordion), Mark Anderson (guitar, backing vocals) and guest drummer Lindisfarne's Ray Laidlaw. The repertoire selected by Peter Donegan for this debut album does not include Lonnie's music hall songs such as 'My Old Man's a Dustman' and 'Does Your Chewing Gum Lose It's Flavour on the Bedpost Overnight', but concentrates on traditional material and songs associated with Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, the Weavers, etc.
